Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Truffle Journal.
Effective Date: August 8, 2026 | Last Updated: August 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Truffle Journal mobile application, website, connected ChatGPT experience, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1) Who we are
Truffle Journal is operated by Wonderfarm LLC ("Wonderfarm," "we," "us," or "our").
General questions: hi@wonderfarm.app
Support: support@trufflejournal.com
2) Eligibility and age
The Service is not directed to children under 13. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You may use the Service only where permitted by applicable law.
3) Accounts and account security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account to the extent permitted by law.
Contact support@trufflejournal.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4) Your journal content
"User Content" includes journal entries, titles, comments, tags, prompts, reflections, and other material you submit to or store in the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant Wonderfarm a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display User Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide features you request, including saving, syncing, organization, search, export, and connected assistant workflows
- Secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the Service
- Comply with law and enforce these Terms
This license ends when the relevant User Content is deleted from our active systems, subject to temporary backups and information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.
Journal entries are private by default. They are not made public by the Service unless you intentionally export or share them.
5) AI, semantic search, and connected assistants
The Service uses automated tools to help save, organize, and find journal content. For example, entry text and semantic-search queries may be processed by OpenAI to create numerical vector representations called embeddings. Additional details are provided in our Privacy Policy.
If you connect Truffle Journal to ChatGPT or another supported third-party service, requests and results may pass between that service and Truffle Journal according to the permissions and actions you authorize. The third party’s own terms also apply to your use of its service.
Automated outputs and search results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice.
6) Free and Truffle Plus plans
The Free plan allows a maximum of 10 retained saved entries. Active and archived entries count toward this limit; deleted entries do not. Drafts do not count until they are saved as entries.
Truffle Plus removes the entry limit while Plus access is active. Monthly and Annual Truffle Plus subscriptions unlock the same Plus functionality.
If Plus ends while your account has more than 10 retained entries, we will not delete journal content merely because your plan changed. Your entries remain readable, searchable, exportable, and permanently deletable. The 10 newest retained entries remain editable; older retained entries become read-only until your retained count falls within the Free limit or Plus is restored.
We may change plan features or limits prospectively. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we will provide any notice required by law or Apple’s rules.
7) Apple subscriptions and billing
Truffle Plus is offered through auto-renewable Monthly and Annual subscriptions on Apple platforms. The price and billing period shown in Apple’s purchase sheet at confirmation are the terms of your purchase. Prices may vary by storefront, currency, and applicable taxes.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.
- Apple may charge your Apple Account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
- Refund requests, billing disputes, and payment-method issues are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
Deleting your Truffle Journal account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. If you do not want future Apple charges, cancel the subscription separately through Apple before deleting your account.
Plus access may require successful verification of the Apple transaction with our systems. Restoring a verified purchase restores the applicable entitlement; it does not create a second purchase.
8) Complimentary rewards
Truffle Journal may award complimentary Plus time for verified activities, such as completing First Truffle or participating in an eligible beta program. Rewards are account benefits, not cash, stored value, Apple subscriptions, or transferable property. They do not charge, auto-renew, or appear in Apple’s Manage Subscriptions screen.
Rewards may be subject to eligibility, verification, availability, activation, stacking, and expiration rules shown in the Service. A reward does not pause, cancel, refund, or otherwise modify an active Apple subscription. If reward activation is unavailable while an Apple subscription is active, the earned reward remains subject to the availability terms shown in the Service.
9) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity
- Submit or share content that infringes another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- Attempt to access another user’s account or bypass authentication, quota, payment, entitlement, or security controls
- Scrape, probe, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or introduce malware into the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise
- Use automated access in a manner that exceeds documented interfaces or unreasonably burdens the Service
10) Sharing and exports
You control content you intentionally export or share. Once content leaves Truffle Journal, recipients and third-party apps may copy, store, or redistribute it. You are responsible for choosing recipients and ensuring you have the right to share the content.
Keep independent copies of User Content that is especially important to you. Although the Service offers export functionality, we cannot guarantee that the Service will always be available.
11) Wonderfarm intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by Wonderfarm or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of the Service or our trademarks.
12) Third-party services
The Service relies on or interoperates with third parties, including Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, hosting providers, and email-delivery providers. Their services may be unavailable or change independently of us. Your direct use of a third-party product is governed by that provider’s terms.
13) Account deletion and termination
You can schedule deletion in the app under Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Journal access stops when deletion is scheduled. You may sign in and restore the account during the 21-day recovery period. After that period, permanent deletion begins and recovery is not available.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, threaten the security or integrity of the Service, fail to pay applicable charges, or if we are legally required to do so.
We may discontinue all or part of the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export content.
14) Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that automated outputs and search results will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
15) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wonderfarm and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wonderfarm’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations, so these provisions apply only to the extent permitted where you live.
16) Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Wonderfarm harmless from third-party claims arising from your User Content, your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Service, or your material violation of these Terms. This obligation does not apply where prohibited by law.
17) Apple-specific terms
If you use the Service through an Apple platform:
- These Terms are between you and Wonderfarm, not Apple.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
- To the extent permitted by law, Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the Service, including product-liability, consumer-protection, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
- Your use of the Service must comply with the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Usage Rules.
18) Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the dispute.
19) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice in the Service, by email, or through another appropriate method. The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
