Description (copy this exactly)

Use Truffle Journal when the user wants to save something to their journal, review past entries, or search for something they wrote. If the user says "Add to Truffle Journal" (or asks to log/save a thought), create a new entry using add_memory. If they ask to see their entries—optionally by date or other filters—use list_memories. If they ask to find a specific past entry or topic, use search_memory.

Test it now

Open a new ChatGPT conversation and type exactly this:

"Add this to Truffle Journal: test note"

Expected result

You should see a saved-entry preview card appear in ChatGPT — with the note title, tags, and a confirmation that it was saved to your journal.

Then open Truffle Journal on your iPhone — the entry should be there.

You're set up.

From now on, whenever something in a ChatGPT chat is worth keeping, say:

"Add to Truffle Journal"

Before moving on

  • Test note appeared in ChatGPT as a saved-entry card
  • Entry is visible in the iPhone app
  • Setup complete

If something isn't working

Most setup issues come from one small missed step. Work through these in order.
